Sahbhagi
Shikshan Kendra (SSK) is a Civil Society Organisation performing
support functions in the state of Uttar Pradesh since 1990. More
than a decadal experience in the process of social change and
development has made SSK believe firmly in the fact that promoting
CSOs, CBOs and ensuring programme management and delivery with
people at the center of development process is the need of the
day. It is with this in view a special arrangement for taking
up consultancies has been made within SSK Through this it aims
to achieve the following objectives:
-
Organising
demand based capacity building training programmes for CSOs,
donors including bilateral and multilateral agencies, government
Organisation and financial institutions.

Conducting
demand based participatory studies, research, monitoring and
evaluations of development programmes and Organisation.
-
Developing need based reading and reference material, information
dissemination materials, manuals on issues related to development
sector.
-
Providing
need based managerial support services to donors including
bilateral and multilateral agencies, government Organisation
and other CSOs.
SSK
comprises of a panel of in-house and external experts. All of
them are well experienced and highly qualified development professionals
having diverse contribution and experience in the field of social
change and development.

Project
Proposal Writing Training for Selected partner agencies of PRIA
in North Bengal under WBCSS Programme of DFID
A
three days training workshop on the above mentioned theme was
organized at Jalpaiguri from 20th to 22nd September 2007. 19 participants,
mostly senior Project managers from 14 agencies attended this
training. Importance of logically arranging one's thoughts and
building a project proposal around that was discussed and practiced
during the training programme. Participants were exposed to different
steps involved in preparation of a project proposal. One senior
team member of SSK facilitated this training workshop.
Supporting
Badlao Foundation, Mihijam, Jharkhand
On
the request of Badlao Foundation we organized two training programmes
– one on Result Based Programme Management (27-31 August
2007) and the other on Gender Sensitization (18-21 September 2007)
for their team members. In total 18 participants attended the
training on RBM whereas in Gender Sensitization training the number
of participants was 19. Four senior team members of SSK facilitated
both these training programmes.
Training
on Organizational Development and Leadership Development for NFI
A
four day training on organizational development and leadership
development was facilitated by Shri Ashok Singh for National Foundation
for India at FRI, Dehradun.
TOT on
Local Self Governance
Shri
Ashok Singh – Director SSK conducted a seven days TOT on
local self-governance for Samarthan- a Bhopal based non-governmental
organization
Networking
with Government Institutions:
During
this quarter special efforts have been made to strengthen our
relationship with government institutions. Dialogue took place
undertaken with State Finance Commission. On SSK's proposal for
assessing the status of municipal finance of Small and medium
town, state Finance Commission had issued a letter to each District
Magistrate and Executive Officer to support SSK and provide necessary
data for the study
