Programme for Trainers on Participatory Training Methodology (T.O.T)
Duration:
Seven
days (Residential) – (5th November to 11th November 2009)
Expected
Outcome:
By the end of the training the
participants will have learnt and internalized –Concept
and context of Participatory training in the social change process,
importance of small groups as a vehicle of learning and group
dynamics, steps of preparing training design and how to select
training methods, different roles a trainer has to play and importance
of self and personality development of a trainer skills required
for conducting a training session
In order to achieve the above outcomes the following
contents will be dealt with during the training programme:
- Philosophy and Principles of Participatory
training
- Principles of Adult learning and Elements of
a conducive learning environment
- Use of small groups in Participatory training
- Facilitating small group processes viz. participation,
decision making, communication, leadership, conflict resolution
- Role of trainers in participatory training
and self and personality development of a trainer
- Training methods – Lecture, Small Group
Discussion, Role play, Case studies, Learning games, Simulation,
etc.
- Monitoring and evaluation of a training programme
The aim of the training programme
is to enhance the knowledge, awareness and skills of the functionaries
of the CSOs who are presently involved as trainers or are willing
to facilitate trainings in future.

Fee:
The fee for the training
programme is Rs. 5000 per person that includes tuition fee, cost
of learning materials, staying and food charges, and other training
expenses. Service tax at 12.36% would be levied on course fee
and has to be included in payments. Fee can be paid through Cheque/

Expected Outcome:

differences, Concept of Log frame analysis and its relationship
with RBM Importance of stakeholders analysis in the context of
RBM and how to do it. Participants shall be encouraged to use
RBM in their work like – planning, implementation and monitoring

- Concept of result based project planning
- Need for emphasis on Results
- Results and levels of results and their hierarchical
