Yamuna Action
Plan (Phase II) has started from November 2007 and coordinated from Ghaziabad District. A bilateral
project of India and Japan on River Conservation and a Part of
Yamuna Action Plan (Phase II). The main objective is to improve
water quality of Yamuna and restoring in to its desired bathing
status. The apex body is the UP Jal Nigam and two units have been
selected – Ghaziabad and Agra district. There are 28 CSOs
already working on the project,
The task of SSK
will be

To provide on-site support as in-house training on Organisation
Development and also the thematic issues.

To develop mechanisms for timely monitoring and evaluation, and

To develop policy guidelines for sustainability.
