The initiative mobilizes communities to promote adult literacy through Community Literacy Volunteers (CLVs), offering functional literacy and continuing education to those who missed formal schooling. By fostering a learning society and encouraging social change, it supports 2,700 beneficiaries in achieving government NILP certification, driving meaningful improvements in their lives.
Sakshar Samuday is a literacy project that aims to ensure 90% of literacy rate through HCLF’s customized Adult Literacy Implementation Program (Shiksha Plus) amongst the willing and eligible population (the age group of 15 years and above )of Sandila Block (09 Gram Panchayats), Hardoi district of U.P.

Objectives:
● To mobilize age-specific communities in defined geographical locations and create Adult Literacy
● To form Batches run by Community literacy volunteers (CLVs) for imparting functional literacy
(ability to read, write, and do simple arithmetic) amongst them.
● To promote and strengthen Adult education for those who missed the opportunity of formal
education earlier, and now feel a need for learning of any type, including basic literacy, and basic
education.
● To promote a learning society by providing opportunities to Neo-literate adults for continuing
education.
● Promote social and behavioral change practices for the betterment of the communities
● Involved 2700 beneficiaries participating in certification in Govt. NILP exam and provide end-to-
end support for the quality changes in their lives.
